While he was a teenager Rob and his brother worked side by side hauling stones and rolling wheelbarrows in a paving crew. After high school, he started his own business doing all kinds of exterior jobs such as masonry before getting into driveway repairs. Rob started his own business back in 1989 alone with just a rusty old mason dump truck along with a pickup truck to get around and give free estimates.

While his paving business was started with nothing but a couple of trucks, trailer, and hand tools, he always stayed in within Litchfield County, CT. As Marini Paving grew, Rob helped thousands of customers along the way. Thrilled customers spread word-of-mouth, which helped Marini Paving LLC become the thriving business it is today.

Since the start  of such a small business, Rob expanded Marini Paving with top-of-the-line equipment including commercial trailers, triaxle trucks, skid steers, excavators, and finishing rollers. He works closely with a tight crew of half a dozen guys. Even after doing paving and sealcoating for 30 years, Rob still can't refrain himself from picking up a shovel to get the job done himself. When he isn't on the job or meeting with customers for free estimates, you can probably find him relaxing in Florida, riding on his boat, or spending time with his dog Milo.
